  1. Agree that it is IMPORTANT that Hawaii fishermen support retention of the current exemption which allows “us” to retain custody of and sell captured billfish. Yes, the vast majority of Hawaii fishermen recognize and treat billfish as a food source, not a play toy. Also agree that establishment of a NEW requirement for seafood dealers to document that the billfish they sell is exempt from the prohibition of the sale of billfish, would be superfluous. There is no apparent value-added with the establishment of such a requirement. (It would just provide another example of non-value, big government bureaucracy.)
